Does Penmark work outside the United States?

Envelope printing works anywhere: the international sizes DL, C6, C5, C4 are built in, custom sizes take millimetres, and an address can carry a country on its own line. Label sheets are the US Letter Avery layouts only. Prices are in US dollars.

Plan: The same plans and prices apply everywhere, in US dollars.

Addresses

Type the address as it should print and put the country on its own line after the city line; Penmark prints it there. Addresses in the United States need no country line, and spellings of the United States are never printed. Penmark can print Latin, Greek and Cyrillic letters. Other scripts (for example Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Thai) are not supported; a line that cannot be printed is refused with a message naming the characters, so nothing prints wrong.

Envelopes

DL (220 × 110 mm), C6 (162 × 114 mm), C5 (229 × 162 mm), C4 (324 × 229 mm) are in the size picker, and any size with sides between 76.2 and 381 mm can be entered as a custom size in millimetres. Printer setup and the two-pass flap work the same way.

Label sheets

Penmark's label layouts are the US Letter Avery sheets (5160, 5161, 5162, 5163, 5164, 5167). A4 label sheets such as Avery L7160 are not supported. For addresses outside the US, envelopes are the better route.

Spreadsheet imports

The importer understands a country column (country, countryregion, countryname, nation, pays, land, país, pais) and keeps the country as written. A column of two-letter country codes is deliberately not read, because "CA" is Canada in one sheet and California in the next.

Common questions

Can I print UK addresses on DL envelopes?

Yes. Choose DL, enter the address with the postcode on the city line and the country on its own line if you want it printed.

Do accented characters print?

Yes, across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic. The decorative name faces cover Latin; where one lacks a character, Penmark substitutes a matching plain face for that line and tells you.

Are prices shown in my currency?

No. Prices are in US dollars; your card issuer or payment provider handles any currency conversion.
