How it works

Type or paste each recipient as a little block — name on the first line, then the address lines — with a blank line between recipients. The tool lays them out on the sheet you pick and hands back a PDF sized to the real label grid, so it prints correctly at 100% scale ("actual size" in the print dialog). One sheet per download, up to as many addresses as the sheet holds.

First time printing on label sheets? Two minutes with our printing guide saves a wasted sheet — the short version is: print at 100%, test on plain paper first.

What a Penmark account adds

This tool does one sheet at a time, and it needs the addresses typed just so. A Penmark account is for the list itself:

No careful formatting

Paste the whole messy list — names and addresses run together, notes in the margins, half a spreadsheet — and Smart Import sorts it into a proper address book. Included free, a few imports a day. With Pro it also reads photos and documents: the stack of envelopes, a screenshot of a text, a Word file from Grandma, or anything straight from your phone's camera.

Saved for next year

Your first 50 addresses are free, and the list keeps. Every season after this one is tick-the-boxes and print — any label size, as many sheets as you need.

Kept current by the family

With Pro, share the book. Whoever hears about a move fixes the entry once, and everyone's labels come out right.

Common questions

Is the label maker really free?

Yes — one full sheet per download, no sign-up and no watermark. It's made by Penmark, an online address book; if you find it useful, that's the pitch, and a free account saves your list for next time.

Do you keep my addresses?

No. The addresses you paste are used to lay out your PDF and immediately forgotten — nothing is saved unless you create an account and choose to save a list.

Which label sheets does it print on?

The common Avery address and shipping sizes — 5160 (and 8160), 5161, 5162, 5163, and 5164 — plus store-brand sheets marked compatible with those numbers. Not sure which you have? See the label size chart.
