Help · Envelopes
Why does my envelope say "Printed with Penmark", and how do I remove it?
It is the free plan's attribution: a 7-point gray line reading "Printed with Penmark · usepenmark.com", 0.375 inch from the left edge and 0.3 inch from the bottom of the front, away from the addresses. Penmark Pro prints envelopes with nothing on them but your addresses.
Plan: Envelope printing is free on every plan. Clean envelopes without the line are Penmark Pro ($1.99 a month or $15 a year).
Where it prints, and where it does not
- Front of the envelope only, bottom-left corner. The preview shows it exactly where it prints.
- Never on the back flap pass, never on the printer test page, never on label sheets.
- Its placement follows the USPS guidance on where machine-read addresses and barcodes go, keeping the line out of those areas by design. Penmark cannot guarantee how any particular mail piece is processed.
- If a dragged address block would overlap it, the download warns you.
Removing it
Upgrade to Penmark Pro in Settings. Every envelope you print afterwards is clean. If a Pro plan ends you keep printing; the line simply returns.
Common questions
Does it print on labels too?
No. Label sheets never carry it.
Does the line affect postage or scanning?
It is designed not to: the bottom-left corner is outside the zones USPS guidance reserves for the address block and the barcode, and the line is small and gray. Postage and the addresses are not touched. Processing of a given mail piece is up to the postal service.
Can I print one envelope at a time to avoid it?
No. A single envelope follows the same rule as a batch.
